How Settlements Grow[]

Each settlement starts as a Hamlet and levels up to a Capital by completing Town Projects. Town Projects provide upgrades to the settlement's Crafting & Refining Stations or to the settlements defensive Fort. The governing company chooses which Town Project to work on. It is then posted on the Town Project Board outside of the settlement's town hall building. Players can check the town project board to sign up for quests to bring back supplies like wood, iron, and food that will go toward the upgrades.

Damage to Settlements[]

Corrupted armies attack settlements during Corrupted Invasions. The times of these Invasions are listed in the Map under the Conflicts Tab. Players can sign up to defend a settlement. If they are not successful in fully defending the settlement, Crafting & Refining Stations and Fort improvements may be downgraded. Territory Upkeep fees also have to be paid every 7 days by the governing company in order to prevent the settlement from downgrading. The company collect fees/tax from players when they use the crafting stations and trading post, which the company then uses to pay the upkeep.
